Fraction Circles
Red cardstock circles augment fraction insets. Circles divided in halves, thirds, fourths, and fifths are not labeled; however, circles divided into sixths, sevenths, eighths, ninths, and tenths are labeled. There are eight circles of each fraction family.
All circles should be cut along their circumference. Lamination before cutting is recommended. However, we recommend that no more than one circle of each fraction family be separated into pieces. The others may be kept intact. That way the child may form mixed numbers such as 4 1/2.
Also included in the set is one set of clear fraction circles representing each fraction family. Clear fraction circles may be superimposed over red circles to visualize equivalencies.
