Most exercises within a set should be completed in sequence. Children usually do one exercise per day until they progress through the entire sequence. Children usually work on one or two sequences at a time. They normally do other exercises in operations or facts as well. For example, a child may be working on "Golden Beads," and "Missing Numbers. " At other times of the day, he could be working on addition drill from a traditional text, worksheet, or lab.

Individual Tracking System

Checklist masters are available for Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary skills.  They are normally issued each school year and encourage the students to date or check each exercise as completed.  The checklists may be referenced for planning and conferencing.

These masters are automatically shipped with classroom sets and with smaller orders if requested.

Montessori Records Express

Conceptual Learning Materials has partnered  with Montessori Records Express, an excellent tool for tracking student progress and generating reports.  All materials have been entered into the data base, and can easily be copied into your specific curriculum.

Storage

Special storage containers are not necessary, particularly if only one or two children are using the material. Many home school educators have merely used plastic bags, envelopes, or plastic "tackle boxes." However, a number of readily available items have been proven helpful for classroom storage. Listed below are some suggestions for storing Insights into Math Concepts material

Labels

Labels are included with any material that is frequently stored in sheet protectors, hardware drawers, or vinyl envelopes. The labels make it easier for teachers to organize the material, as well as for the students to find the appropriate exercise and put it away properly. Labels are not needed for taskcards. These can stored as a set in an organizer, sorter, or literature display rack.
